Thank you so much for offering this program! It answered a need I hadn't named. Since joining I've accepted help in new ways without guilt! After a long day in ICU I asked my fiance to take care of me! I am not sure I've said this before. He kept the lights and TV off while my sensory overload passed. He made dinner, did dishes, helped place yoga blocks under my knees for a restorative pose you posted that I've been trying. It was such a nice night and he said it felt good to be the one taking care of me! Then today, I accepted and felt appreciation for another nurse responding to my vent and suctioning my patient. The ICU nurse in me usually feels like I should do it all but it felt so good to accept the help!

I attended the VIP Day version and it was amazing! She came to the city where I live and introduced me to experiences that I’d never done before. As a nurse I’m a natural giver but I finally did something for me and because of it I’m a better version of myself!
